FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. B357440

      Detach the 2 hooks and disconnect the 2 rubber bands.

    2. Disconnect the interior illumination light connector.

      Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the locations shown in the illustration.

    4. Insert a screwdriver between the front seatback board and separate type front seatback.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Point A

      Place the screwdriver at point A shown in the illustration and move the screwdriver in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 guides and remove the2 front seatback board clips from the front seatback board.

      Move the seatback board in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 guides and remove it.

      Remove the 2 front seatback board clips from the separate type front seatback spring.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.

  4. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Remove the screw of the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield LH and detach the guide LH.

    2. Detach the clip of the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield.

    3. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and guide.

    4. Move the cushion shield in the direction of the arrow to detach the clip and remove the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield LH together with the cushion shield as a unit.

      Disconnect the lifter motor connector.

    6. Detach the 3 claws and open the wire harness cover.

    7. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the seat wire connector.

  6. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

      for Driver Side:

      1. Remove the 3 screws.

      2. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the switch.

      for Front Passenger Side:

      1. Remove the 3 screws.

      2. Disconnect the connector and remove the switch.

  7. REMOVE LUMBAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT NO. 1 INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the cushion shield.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the cushion shield.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 seat wire.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the seat heater wire harness clamp.

      Detach the 2 hooks.

      Fastening Tape

      Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.

    5. Detach the 3 airbag wire harness clamps.

    6. Detach the fastening tape and open the cover.

    7. Disconnect the airbag wire harness.

    8. w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:

      Disconnect the seat audio connector and detach the seat audio wire harness clamps.

      Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.

  12. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

    1. Remove the 2 caps.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws.

    2. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

  14. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the 3 seat heater wire harness clamps.

    2. Detach the hooks.

    3. for Front Passenger Side:

      Detach the claw and disconnect the occupant detection sensor connector from the seat cushion spring.

    4. Remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

    1. Remove the 16 hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

    1. Detach the claw and guide, and then remove the cover.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

    2. Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

  20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

    2. Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to detach the hook and remove the protector.

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Detach the 2 clamps and 2 claws, and then remove the seat cushion climate control duct.

  23. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 2 screws and seat cushion climate control bracket.

      Detach the 2 guides and remove the seat cushion climate control blower as shown in the illustration.

    1. Remove the seat wire from the seat cushion spring.

      1. Using a clip remover, remove the 6 clips.

      Remove the nut, detach the 2 claws and disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback spring.

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

    6. Remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback spring.

  29. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.

      Remove the 10 hog rings and seatback cover.

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 9 clips.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Detach the 2 claws and seat audio wire harness clamp, and then remove the base.

  32. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    2. Remove the 4 screws and seatback climate control blower LH.

  33. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the seatback climate control duct LH.

  34. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

  35. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT WIRE

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the No. 2 seat wire.

  36. REMOVE REAR SEAT WIRE LH (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)

    1. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the rear seat wire LH. from the seatback spring.

  37. REMOVE SEATBACK SPRING DAMPER RH (for Passenger Side, w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)

      Remove the 2 nuts and seatback spring damper RH.
