PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Shift Paddle Switch LH (Transmission Shift Switch Assembly LH)
      *b	Shift Paddle Switch RH (Transmission Shift Switch Assembly RH)
      *c	Component without harness connected (Shift Paddle Switch (Transmission Shift Switch Assembly))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      LH Tester Connection Shift Position Specified Condition SDN - ECC "-" shift paddle operated and held (down-shift) Below 3 Ω SDN - ECC1 "-" shift paddle operated and held (down-shift) Below 3 Ω SDN - ECC "-" shift paddle not operated (down-shift) 1 MΩ or higher SDN - ECC1 "-" shift paddle not operated (down-shift) 1 MΩ or higher
      RH Tester Connection Shift Position Specified Condition SUP - ECC1 "+" shift paddle operated and held (up-shift) Below 3 Ω SUP - ECC1 "+" shift paddle not operated (up-shift) 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the shift paddle switch (transmission shift switch assembly).

2. INSPECT NO. 1 SWITCH WIRE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 1 switch wire connector to the transmission shift switch assembly.

   2. Disconnect the steering pad switch assembly connector from the No. 1 switch wire.

   3. 

      *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to Steering Pad Switch Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition SDN - ECC "-" shift paddle operated and held (down-shift) Below 3 Ω SUP - ECC "+" shift paddle operated and held (up-shift) Below 3 Ω SDN - ECC "-" shift paddle not operated (down-shift) 1 MΩ or higher SUP - ECC "+" shift paddle not operated (up-shift) 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 switch wire.
