PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

INSTALL NO. 3 CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET
1. Install the No. 3 cable support bracket to the rear suspension crossmember with the 2 bolts.

INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE
1. Connect the cables to the backing plates and parking brake shoe levers.
  1. Pass the cables through the backing plates, and then connect the cables to the levers.

  2. Install the cables to the backing plates with the bolts.
    
    8.0 N*m

    71 in.*lbf
2. Install the clamps to the trailing arms with the 2 bolts (labeled E).

  Note:
  Securely install the clamps.
3. Install the clamps to the rear suspension crossmember with the 2 bolts (labeled D).

  Note:
  Securely install the clamps.
4. Install the clamps to the No. 3 cable support bracket with the 2 bolts (labeled C).

  Note:
  Securely install the clamps.
5. Install the clamps to the fuel tank band with the 2 bolts (labeled B).

  Note:
  Securely install the clamps.
6. Install the casing caps to the vehicle body with the 2 casing cap bolts (labeled A).

  Securely install the casing caps.
INSTALL PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER
1. Connect the 3 cable ends to the equalizer to install the equalizer.
