CYLINDER HEAD DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE INTAKE VALVE

   1. Place the cylinder head sub-assembly on wooden blocks.

   2. 

      *a	Wooden Block

      Using SST, remove the valve spring retainer lock, valve spring retainer and inner compression spring.

      Note:

      Arrange the removed parts for each cylinder in the correct order.

   3. Remove the intake valve.

      Note:

      Arrange the removed parts for each cylinder in the correct order.

2. REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE

   1. 

      *a	Wooden Block

      Using SST, remove the valve spring retainer lock, valve spring retainer and inner compression spring.

      Note:

      Arrange the removed parts for each cylinder in the correct order.

   2. Remove the exhaust valve.

      Note:

      Arrange the removed parts for each cylinder in the correct order.

3. REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL

   1. 

      Using needle-nose pliers, remove the valve stem oil seals.

4. REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT

   1. 

      Using compressed air and a magnet hand, remove the valve spring seats by blowing air onto them.

5. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD OIL ORIFICE

   1. 

      Remove the cylinder head oil orifice from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
