OIL PAN REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  3. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

      No. 1 Transmission Oil Filler Tube

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the oil pan and drain the continuously variable transaxle fluid.

  5. REMOVE TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. C200350

      Remove the 19 bolts and oil pan from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

      Note:

      Some fluid will remain in the oil pan. To prevent the fluid from spilling, place a container under the oil pan, and then carefully remove all the pan bolts and oil pan assembly.

    2. Remove the gasket from the oil pan.

      Magnet

      Remove the 3 magnets from the oil pan.

      Note:
      • Clean the oil pan and remove any metal particles, sludge, etc.

      • Clean off any metal particles that adhere to the magnets.
