STOP AND START SYSTEM DTC CHECK / CLEAR

Tip:

  • DTCs, which are stored in the engine stop and start ECU, can be displayed on the GTS. The GTS can display current and pending DTCs.

  • Some DTC are not stored if the engine stop and start ECU does not detect the same malfunction again during the second consecutive driving cycle. However, such malfunctions, detected on only one occasion, are stored as pending DTC.

  1. CHECK DTC

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check the DTCs and freeze frame data, and then save or write them down.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Trouble Codes

    6. Check for details of the DTCs.

  2. CLEAR DTC

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Stop and Start > Clear DTCs
