SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR (for Single Cab) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Install the side airbag sensor assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • If the side airbag sensor assembly LH has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.

      • When installing the side airbag sensor assembly LH, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

    4. Check that the side airbag sensor assembly LH is not loose.

    5. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL LH


    1. Attach the 3 clips, claw and 2 guides to install the lower quarter trim panel.

    2. Connect the front seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

  4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Attach the 4 clips and 8 claws to install the front door scuff plate.

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  6. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
