REAR DOOR GLASS INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL QUARTER WINDOW GLASS SPACER

    1. Using a brush or sponge, coat the application area of 2 new quarter window glass spacers with primer G.

      Note:

      • Do not apply too much primer G.

      • Allow the primer G to dry for 3 minutes or more.

      • Throw away any leftover primer G.

      Tip:

      If an area other than specified is coated by accident, wipe off the primer G with a clean piece of cloth before it dries.

      Install the 2 new quarter window glass spacers to the rear door glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL SIDE WINDOW LOCK ASSEMBLY

    1. Clean the quarter window hinge retainer.

    2. Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, install the side window lock assembly with the new screw and quarter window hinge retainer.

  3. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the rear door glass sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

      5.5 N*m

      56 kgf*cm

      49 in.*lbf

    2. Clean the screw hole on the rear door.

    3. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, Install the rear door glass sub-assembly with the 2 new screws.
