CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL CAM POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side)

   1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the cam position sensor.

      Note:

      If reusing the cam position sensor, be sure to inspect the O-ring.

   2. Install the cam position sensor to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the bolt.

      8.0 N*m

      82 kgf*cm

      71 in.*lbf

      Note:

      • If the cam position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not move out of place during installation.

   3. Connect the cam position sensor connector.

2. INSTALL CAM POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side)

   1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the cam position sensor.

      Note:

      If reusing the cam position sensor, be sure to inspect the O-ring.

   2. Install the cam position sensor to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the bolt.

      8.0 N*m

      82 kgf*cm

      71 in.*lbf

      Note:

      • If the cam position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not move out of place during installation.

   3. Connect the cam position sensor connector.

   4. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Intake Side)

5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Intake Side)

   Click here

6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Intake Side)

7. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
