  1. INSPECT FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR

    Component without harness connected

    (Fuel Pressure Sensor)

    1. Check the fuel pressure sensor output voltage.


      1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 (VOUT1) - 2 (GND) Apply 5 V between terminals 4 (VCC) and 2 (GND) Approximately 0.5 V

        Note


        • Be careful when connecting the leads, as the fuel pressure sensor may be damaged if the leads are connected to the wrong terminals.

        • Do not apply a voltage of 6 V or more to the terminals 4 (VCC) and 2 (GND).

        Tech Tips

        If a stable power supply is not available, use 4 1.2 V nickel-metal hydride batteries, etc.

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the fuel pressure sensor.
