FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for RHD vehicles.
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the RH side.

INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
1. Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
2. Connect the connector under the seat.
3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
  
  Note
  
  When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
4. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.
5. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.
6. Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
  
  Torque:
  
  37 N*m { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }
7. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.
8. Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
  
  Torque:
  
  37 N*m { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }
INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER
1. Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the outer seat track bracket cover.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the claws.
INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER
1. Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the inner seat track bracket cover.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the claws.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.
CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
1. Check the power seat operation Click here.
2. for LHD, w/ Seat Heater System:
  
  Check the seat heater operation.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  2. Turn the seat heater switch on.
  3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
