OIL PUMP REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL

    A01E2FKE01

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal.

      SST
      09350-30020   ( 09351-32140 )

      Tech Tips

      The oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the pump body.

    2. Coat the oil seal lip with MP grease.

  2. FIX FRONT OIL PUMP BODY


    1. Place the oil pump body on the torque converter clutch.

  3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR

    1. Coat the driven gear with ATF.

    2. Install the driven gear to the oil pump body.

  4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR

    1. Coat the drive gear with ATF.

    2. Install the drive gear to the oil pump body.

  5. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY

    1. Align the stator shaft with each bolt hole.

    2. Install the 13 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT THRUST BEARING RACE

    1. Coat the bearing race with petroleum jelly.

    2. Align the tab of the bearing race with the groove of the pump body.

  7. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING

    A01DW92E01

    1. Coat the 2 oil seal rings with ATF.

    2. Squeeze the ends of the 2 oil seal rings together with the overlap distance 8.0 mm (0.314 in.) or less, and then install them to the stator shaft groove.

      Tech Tips

      After installing the oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

  8. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION

    1. Make sure the drive gear rotates smoothly.

    2. Remove the oil pump from the torque converter.

  9. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING

    1. Install a new O-ring to the oil pump.
