DESCRIPTION

Connecting terminals TC and CG of the DLC3 causes the ECU to display DTCs by blinking the ABS warning light.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

When the indicator light continues to blink, a ground short in the wiring of terminal TC of the DLC3 or an internal ground short in one or more ECUs is suspected.

  2. INSPECT DLC3

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. REPLACE ECM

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Replace the ECM.

      for 1NR-FE:Click here

      for 1ZR-FE:Click here

      for 1ND-TV:Click here

    3. Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.

    4. Check that the ABS warning light is blinking.

      OK

      The ABS warning light is blinking.

      Tip:

      If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing parts.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TC of DLC3 - ECM)

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the A50 or A101 ECM connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
