MULTI-MODE MANUAL TRANSAXLE SYSTEM DTC CHECK / CLEAR

Tip:

DTCs which are stored in the TCM can be displayed on the GTS or generic OBD scan tool.

  1. CHECK DTC (Using GTS)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Trouble Codes

    5. Check DTCs and freeze frame data, and write them down.

    6. See DTC chart to confirm the details of the DTCs.

      Tip:

      The GTS can display current DTC data, pending DTC data and history DTC data. Select the [Current], [Pending] or [History] button on the DTC display screen.

      [Current]: Displays the current DTC data.

      [Pending]: Displays the pending DTC data.

      [History]: Displays the historical DTC data (past codes).

  2. FREEZE FRAME DATA

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Trouble Codes

    5. Select a DTC in order to display its Freeze Frame Data.

    6. Note down the DTC and freeze frame data.

      Tip:
      • "!" displayed to the left of DTC data shown in red indicates that freeze frame data has been recorded for that data.

      • For help using the GTS, refer to the instruction manual.

  3. CLEAR DTCs AND FREEZE FRAME DATA (Using GTS)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.

      Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Clear DTCs
