RELAY(w/o Side Marker Light) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT RELAY

   1. 

      Remove the headlight relay from the engine room relay box LH.

   2. 

      Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
         3 - 5	Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2	10 kΩ or higher
         	Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight relay.

   3. Install the headlight relay to the engine room relay box LH.

2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER RELAY

   1. 

      Remove the headlight dimmer relay from the engine room relay box LH.

   2. 

      Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
         3 - 5	Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2	10 kΩ or higher
         	Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer relay.

   3. Install the headlight dimmer relay to the engine room relay box LH.

3. INSPECT FOG LIGHT RELAY (w/ Fog Light)

   1. 

      Remove the fog light relay from the engine room relay box RH.

   2. 

      Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
         3 - 5	Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2	10 kΩ or higher
         	Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the fog light relay.

   3. Install the fog light relay to the engine room relay box RH.

4. INSPECT RUNNING LIGHT RELAY (w/ Daytime Running Light)

   1. 

      Remove the running light relay from the engine room relay box RH.

   2. 

      Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
         3 - 5	Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2	10 kΩ or higher
         	Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the running light relay.

   3. Install the running light relay to the engine room relay box RH.

5. INSPECT REAR FOG LIGHT RELAY (for LHD)

   1. Remove the combination meter assembly.

   2. 

      Remove the rear fog light relay.

   3. 

      Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
         3 - 5	Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2	10 kΩ or higher
         	Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear fog light relay.

   4. Install the rear fog light relay.

   5. Install the combination meter assembly.

6. INSPECT REAR FOG LIGHT RELAY (for RHD)

   1. Remove the combination meter assembly.

      Click here

   2. 

      Remove the rear fog light relay.

   3. 

      Check the resistance.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance

         Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
         3 - 5	Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2	10 kΩ or higher
         	Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2	Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the rear fog light relay.

   4. Install the rear fog light relay.

   5. Install the combination meter assembly.
