BRAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    Wash off brake fluid immediately if it comes in contact with any painted surface.

  5. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET

      Pull down the lock lever of the wire harness connector toward the front of the vehicle to release the lock.

    2. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the brake actuator assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

    3. Disconnect the clamp from the brake actuator assembly.

      Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator assembly.

      Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.

      Tech Tips


      • *1: to front wheel cylinder RH

      • *2: to front wheel cylinder LH

      • *3: to rear wheel cylinder RH

      • *4: to rear wheel cylinder LH

      • *5: from front master cylinder

      • *6: from rear master cylinder

      Disconnect the 3 clamps from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

    7. B008J4X

      Remove the 3 nuts and brake actuator with bracket.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.
