DIESEL THROTTLE BODY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the diesel throttle body assembly connector.

    2. Install a new gasket to the air tube assembly.

    3. Attach the 2 claws to install the air tube assembly to the diesel throttle body assembly.

    4. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, install a new gasket and the diesel throttle body assembly with air tube assembly to the intake manifold with the 3 bolts.

      8.0 N*m

      82 kgf*cm

      71 in.*lbf

      Note:

      Avoid physical shock to the diesel throttle body assembly.

    5. Using a T27 "TORX" socket wrench, install the air tube assembly to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Tip:

      Refer to "SPECIFICATIONS - STANDARD BOLT" for the tightening torque.

    6. Attach the clamp and connect the No. 7 engine wire connector.

    7. Connect the intake air temperature sensor connector.

    8. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    9. Connect the water by-pass hose assembly and radiator hose sub-assembly to the air tube assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 3 AIR HOSE

    1. Install the No. 3 air hose to the air tube assembly and tighten the hose clamp.

  3. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

      Tip:

      Refer to "SPECIFICATIONS - STANDARD BOLT" for the tightening torque.

    2. Using a T27 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 2 bolts.

      Tip:

      Refer to "SPECIFICATIONS - STANDARD BOLT" for the tightening torque.

      Attach the 2 clamps.

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
