EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR
REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (except Sedan)

Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.
Note:Wrap the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly with a piece of cloth to keep it from damaging the rear bumper.
Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst).

REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)

Remove the 2 bolts.
Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust pipe support.
Remove the gasket from the center exhaust pipe assembly.

REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)

Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
Remove the center exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust pipe support.
Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst).

REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

Remove the 4 bolts and front center floor brace sub-assembly.

REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst)

Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst) from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.

REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Tail Exhaust Pipe Baffle)
Tip:Perform this procedure only when replacement of the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is necessary.
If the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is removed, replace it with a new one.

Plastic Hammer
Using a plastic hammer, remove the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly from the tail exhaust pipe assembly.
