STARTER(w/o Stop And Start System) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE CLUTCH ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (for Multi-Mode Manual Transaxle)

  4. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER

      Protruding Portion

      Disengage the claw by pulling the flywheel housing side cover outward and remove the flywheel housing side cover.

  5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

    1. A322632

      Open the terminal cap.

    2. Remove the nut and disconnect terminal 30.

    3. Disconnect the starter assembly connector.

    4. Disengage the wire harness clamp.

      Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly.
