REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE(for Torsion Beam Type Suspension) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

If both RH side rear flexible hose and rear brake tube flexible hose and LH side rear flexible hose and rear brake tube flexible hose are disconnected at the same time, be sure to place an identification mark on each hose to indicate its installation position.

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note:

    If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.

  3. REMOVE REAR BRAKE TUBE FLEXIBLE HOSE

    for RH Side

    1. Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 2 brake tubes while holding the rear brake tube flexible hose with a wrench.

      Note:
      • Do not bend or damage the brake tubes.

      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake tubes from the connecting parts.

    2. for LH side:

      1. Remove the clip, bolt and rear brake tube flexible hose.

    3. for RH side:

      1. Remove the 2 clips and rear brake tube flexible hose.

  4. REMOVE REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE

    Tip:
    • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

    • The following procedure is for the LH side.

      Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the brake tube while holding the rear flexible hose with a wrench.

      Note:
      • Do not bend or damage the brake tube.

      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting parts.

      Remove the clip.

    3. C272638

      Remove the union bolt, gasket and rear flexible hose.
