GENERATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER (w/ No. 1 Engine Cover)

  4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  5. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

    1. A208968

      Remove the terminal cap.

    2. Disconnect the connector and 2 clamps.

    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

    4. A208969E01

      Fully loosen the bolt A.

      Tip:

      The bolt A cannot be fully removed from the bracket.

    5. Remove the bolt B and generator assembly.
