DESCRIPTION

While depressing the clutch pedal, the clutch start switch assembly sends a signal to terminal 7 (D) of the ECM. The ECM cancels cruise control when terminal 7 (D) receives the signal.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. for LHD:

      1. Remove the clutch start switch assembly (Click here).

      2. Inspect the clutch start switch assembly (Click here).

    2. for RHD:

      1. Remove the clutch start switch assembly (Click here).

      2. Inspect the clutch start switch assembly (Click here).

    REPLACE CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY - ECM AND BATTERY)

    1. Disconnect the A3 clutch start switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A76 ECM connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Ignition switch ON

      11 to 14 V

      Ignition switch off

      Below 1 V

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
