GLOW PLUG(w/ Glow Plug Controller) REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION
Note:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER (w/ No. 1 Engine Cover)
WARM UP ENGINE
Note:The glow plug assembly may be damaged if it is removed before the engine is warmed up.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE NO. 1 GLOW PLUG CONNECTOR

Disconnect the No. 1 glow plug connector connector.
Disengage the clamp.

Remove the 4 glow plug screw grommets from the glow plug assemblies.

Remove the 4 nuts and No. 1 glow plug connector from the glow plug assemblies.

REMOVE GLOW PLUG ASSEMBLY

Using a 10 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 4 glow plug assemblies.
Note:Do not remove the glow plug assemblies before the engine is warmed up.
