OUTER MIRROR SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Retract Mirror)


    1. Check the mirror select and surface adjust switch. (for LHD)


      1. A001SZCC11
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Outer Mirror Switch Assembly)
        *b Mirror Select and Surface Adjust Switch

        Turn the mirror select and surface adjust switch to the L position.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance (for left side)
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

        10 (VL) - 7 (B)

        13 (M+) - 15 (E)

        		 Up Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        10 (VL) - 15 (E)

        13 (M+) - 7 (B)

        		 Down Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        9 (HL) - 7 (B)

        13 (M+) - 15 (E)

        		 Left Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        9 (HL) - 15 (E)

        13 (M+) - 7 (B)

        		 Right Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

      3. Turn the mirror select and surface adjust switch to the R position.

      4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance (for right side)

        12 (VR) - 7 (B)

        13 (M+) - 15 (E)

        		 Up Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        12 (VR) - 15 (E)

        13 (M+) - 7 (B)

        		 Down Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        11 (HR) - 7 (B)

        13 (M+) - 15 (E)

        		 Left Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        11 (HR) - 15 (E)

        13 (M+) - 7 (B)

        		 Right Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch assembly.

    2. A001SZCC12
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Outer Mirror Switch Assembly)

      Check that the LED illuminates. (for LHD)


      1. Apply battery voltage to the outer mirror switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) - 8 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) - 14 (ILL-)

        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch assembly.

    3. Check the mirror select and surface adjust switch. (for RHD)


      1. A001SZCC13

        Component without harness connected

        (Outer Mirror Switch Assembly)
        *b Mirror Select and Surface Adjust Switch

        Turn the mirror select and surface adjust switch to the L position.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance (for left side)

        12 (VL) - 15 (B)

        9 (M+) - 7 (E)

        		 Up Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        12 (VL) - 7 (E)

        13 (HL) - 15 (B)

        9 (M+) - 7 (E)

        		 Left Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        Off 10 kΩ or higher

      3. Turn the mirror select and surface adjust switch to the R position.

      4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        		 Up Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        11 (HR) - 15 (B)

        9 (M+) - 7 (E)

        		 Left Below 1 Ω

        Off 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch assembly.

    4. A001SZCC14
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Outer Mirror Switch Assembly)

      Check that the LED illuminates. (for RHD)


      1. Apply battery voltage to the outer mirror switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) - 14 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) - 8 (ILL-)

        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch assembly.

  2. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Retract Mirror)


    1. Check the mirror select and surface adjust switch. (for LHD)

        *b Mirror Retract Switch
        *c Mirror Select and Surface Adjust Switch

        Turn the mirror select and surface adjust switch to the L position.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        		 Up Below 1 Ω
        Off 10 kΩ or higher

      3. Turn the mirror select and surface adjust switch to the R position.

      4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      5. Check the mirror retract switch.

      6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Except AUTO position 10 kΩ or higher
        2 (MR) - 5 (E) Retract position Below 1 Ω
        Except retract position 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch assembly.

    2. A001TE2C13
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Outer Mirror Switch Assembly)

      Check that the LED illuminates. (for LHD)


      1. Apply battery voltage to the outer mirror switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery negative (-) - 14 (ILL-)

        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch assembly.

    3. Check the mirror select and surface adjust switch. (for RHD)

        Turn the mirror select and surface adjust switch to the L position.

      3. Turn the mirror select and surface adjust switch to the R position.

      4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      5. Check the mirror retract switch.

      6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        2 (MAT) - 1 (E) AUTO position Below 1 Ω
        Except AUTO position 10 kΩ or higher
        4 (MR) - 1 (E) Retract position Below 1 Ω
        Except retract position 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch assembly.

    4. A001WC9C09
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Outer Mirror Switch Assembly)

      Check that the LED illuminates. (for RHD)


      1. Apply battery voltage to the outer mirror switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK

        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch assembly.
