TRANSFER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (w/ Air Suspension)

2. DRAIN TRANSFER OIL

   Click here

3. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSMISSION

   Click here

4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the No. 2 parking release cable bracket sub-assembly from the rear engine mounting member.

   2. 

      Remove the 3 nuts and rear engine mounting member.

5. LOOSEN FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

6. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

   Click here

7. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

   Click here

8. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the 11 bolts and transfer assembly.

      Note

      
      

      • Be careful not damage the transfer front case oil seal.

      • Be careful not to drop the transfer assembly.

      • Make sure there are no oil leaks.
