INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (for ACIS)

      Remove the engine cover joint and disconnect the wire harness clamp bracket.

    2. Detach the wire harness clamp.

    3. Disconnect the vacuum switching valve connector.

    4. Disconnect the vacuum hose and No. 2 air hose.

    5. Remove the bolt and vacuum switching valve.

  3. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

      Detach the 4 wire harness clamps.

    2. A235775

      Disconnect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose and No. 3 air hose from the intake manifold.

    3. Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the PCV hose and No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the intake manifold.

      Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts, intake manifold and intake manifold stay.

    5. A235762

      Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

    6. A293801

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

    7. with Stud Bolt:

      Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the intake manifold.

  4. REMOVE ENGINE COVER JOINT

      Remove the engine cover joint.
