MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

    1. Stop the vehicle in a level place.

      Remove the manual transaxle filler plug and gasket.

      0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.)

      Check that the manual transaxle oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transaxle filler plug opening.

      Note:

      An excessively large or small amount of manual transaxle oil may cause problems.

    4. Check for oil leakage if the oil level is low.

    5. Install a new gasket and the manual transaxle filler plug.
