AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM(for Triple Beam Headlight) Headlight Beam Level Control Actuator Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The headlight ECU sub-assembly LH and RH operates the headlight leveling motors according to the vehicle conditions.

Note

If the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Active Test

      Drive The Leveling Motor Headlight leveling motor upward or downward operation Stop/Down/Up Perform the Active Test with the power switch on (READY) and vehicle stopped

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      Click here

    2. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Click here

    3. Disconnect the headlight leveling motor LH connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. REPLACE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR LH


    1. Replace the headlight leveling motor LH with a new or known good one.

    2. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the headlight assembly RH.

      Click here

    2. Remove the headlight ECU sub-assembly RH.

      Click here

    3. Disconnect the headlight leveling motor RH connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
