LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM(w/o Intelligent Clearance Sonar System) CALIBRATION

Note

When any of the following parts have been replaced, perform adjustment shown in the following table. If not, the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system may not operate correctly.


  1. ADJUST LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM


    1. The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during LEXUS parking assist-sensor system removal/installation are shown below.

  2. Registration of Bumper Type (PROCEDURE 1)


    1. Preparation


      1. Check for DTCs.

        Note

        If DTC C168D is output, continue with the registration procedure.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar / Utility.


      Body Electrical > IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar > Utility
      Tester Display
      Clearance Sonar Detection/Steering Adjustment

    6. Select "Clearance Sonar ECU" and perform steering adjustment according to the display on the GTS.

    7. Enter the bumper type using the GTS.

      Bumper Type Value
      for Bar Type Radiator Grille 1
      for Mesh Type Radiator Grille 2

    8. Disconnect the GTS from the DLC3.

  3. Registration of Ultrasonic Sensors (PROCEDURE 2)


    1. Preparation


      1. Check for DTCs.

        Note

        If DTC C1AF3 or C1AF4 is stored, continue with the registration procedure.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar / Utility.


      Body Electrical > IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar > Utility
      Tester Display
      Clearance Sonar Detection/Steering Adjustment

    6. Select "Fr Sensor or Bumper" or "Rr Sensor or Bumper" and perform automatic adjustment according to the display on the GTS.

      Tech Tips

      It is not required to enter sensor angles. Perform the procedure according to the display on the GTS.

    7. Disconnect the GTS from the DLC3.
