DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM


  1. OPERATION


    1. The combination meter assembly has a master warning light, radar cruise control indicator light (constant speed control mode), radar cruise control indicator light (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode), cruise control SET indicator light, multi buzzer, and multi-information display to provide warnings and messages regarding the dynamic radar cruise control system.

    2. The multi-information display displays the set vehicle speed, vehicle ahead mark, and warning message.

    3. Examples are shown below for the illumination or display of each indicator light, warning light or multi-information display.

      System Check During Stop Retention Control*1

      The skid control buzzer sounds until the brake pedal is depressed.

      When any problem occurs during stop retention control, or any of the following conditions is met:


      • Vehicle is stopped on a steep slope.

      • Vehicle is detected to be stopped.

      • Shift position is changed from D to N, or D to other position.

      • Shift position is D and the driver shifts into the D1, D2 or D3 range with the shift paddle.*2

      • Preceding vehicle is no longer detected.
