BODY STRUCTURE DETAILS LIGHTWEIGHT AND HIGHLY RIGID BODY
CONSTRUCTION
A highly rigid yet lightweight vehicle body has been created by considerable use of mainly high strength sheet steel and ultra high strength sheet steel for body frame members, ensuring a high level of impact safety, driving stability and quietness.

Rear floor braces have been added to the rear floor panel, ensuring torsional rigidity and excellent handling stability.

To improve the steering and rear tire grip feel and the glass hatch opening, the following measures ensuring the rigidity of the rear body structure and improving yaw response have been implemented.
The wheel house inner panel structure combines both the roof side inner panels and the lower back reinforcement. (*a)
Trough extensions have been added to the luggage compartment corners. (*b)
The roof side outer panels have been strengthened. (*c)
A lower back outer reinforcement has been added to help ensure rigidity of the under body structure.
