PROCEDURE


  1. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (w/ Air Suspension)

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE

    Click here

  4. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

    Click here

  5. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

    Click here

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER BRACKET RH

    Click here

  8. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the 2 bolts and radiator support to crossmember brace sub-assembly RH.

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH ELEMENT ASSEMBLY RH

  11. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  12. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the clamp and remove the engine wire.

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 3 ENGINE WIRE

      B006EC9 Nut

      Remove the 2 bolts and nut.

      Note

      If the removed nut is the same shape as that shown in the illustration, replace it the supplied replacement part.

    2. Detach the clamp and remove the No. 3 engine wire.

  14. REMOVE HEATER ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      w/ In-tank Oil Cooler


      1. Detach the clamp.

    2. B006GXB

      Detach the clamp.

    3. B006GET

      Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 hose clips and slide the hose clip to disconnect the 2 water hoses.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the water hose.

      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

      Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 hose clips and slide the hose clip to remove the 2 water hoses.

      • Do not apply excessive force to the water hose.

      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

      Disconnect the connector.

    6. Remove the bolt, nut and heater accessory assembly.

      Note

      If the removed nut is the same shape as that shown in the illustration, replace it the supplied replacement part.

      Remove the 4 hose clips from the 2 water hoses.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 WIRING AIR INDICATOR HARNESS SUB-ASSEMBLY

      B006GBM Tape

      Detach the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 2 wiring air indicator harness sub-assembly.

      Note

      Disconnect the cable so that the tape is not removed.
