    1. Heated Windshield Defroster System Operating Condition


      1. If the outside temperature is lower than 5 °C (41°F) when the heated windshield defroster switch is pushed after engine start-up, the system operates the heated windshield defroster for 4 minutes.

        Tech Tips


        • If the heated windshield defroster switch is pressed when the outside temperature is 5°C (41°F) or more, the heated windshield defroster system will not operate and the indicator of the heated windshield defroster switch will blink 5 times.

        • If a rear seat heater switch is pressed while the heated windshield defroster system is operating, the rear seat heater request will be rejected by exclusive control and the indicator of the rear seat heater switch will blink 5 times. Additionally, if the heated windshield defroster switch is pressed while a rear seat heater is operating, the rear seat heater will be turned off and the heated windshield defroster system will start operating.
