REAR BRAKE DISASSEMBLY
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

Protective Tape
Using a screwdriver with its wrapped with protective tape, pry out the set ring and cylinder boot.
Tip:Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Note:Be careful not to damage the rear disc brake piston and rear disc brake cylinder assembly.

REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PISTON

Cloth
Place a piece of cloth between the rear disc brake piston and rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
Apply compressed air to remove the rear disc brake piston from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
CAUTION:Do not place your fingers in front of the piston when using compressed air.
Note:Be careful not to spatter the brake fluid.

REMOVE PISTON SEAL

Protective Tape
Using a screwdriver with its wrapped with protective tape, remove the piston seal from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
Tip:Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Note:Be careful not to damage the inner surface of the cylinder or piston seal groove.

REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Remove the rear disc brake bleeder plug from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
