FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER

  3. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  9. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws to remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  10. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

  11. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the nut and shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

      Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the bolt.

    4. Detach the 2 claws to remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Seat Belt with Selectable Force Limiter)

      Remove the nut and shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

      Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the 2 locking buttons in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the 2 locks and disconnect the pretensioner connector and selectable force limiter connector as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the bolt.

    4. Detach the 2 claws to remove the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. B334890

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
