LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) The main body ECU receives various signals and turns off the exterior lights.
    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly Light Control Switch Outputs a light control switch position signal to the main body ECU.
    Front Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly LH Detects whether a door is open or closed and transmits a signal to the main body ECU.

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The light auto turn-off system operates as follows:

      Condition Details
      Auto Turn-off

      When all of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off*1:


      • The power switch is turned off.

      • The driver door is closed and then opened.*2

      • The headlight dimmer switch assembly (light control switch) is in the TAIL position or HEAD position.

      When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights and front fog lights*4 automatically turn off*1:


      • The power switch is turned off.

      • The headlight dimmer switch assembly (light control switch) is in the TAIL position or HEAD position.
      Follow Me Home*4

      When approx. 30 seconds elapse after all of the following conditions are met, the headlights turn off:


      • The power switch is turned off.

      • All doors are closed.

      • The headlight dimmer switch assembly (light control switch) is in the PASS position, then neutral position.

      • *1: The auto turn-off system type depends on models

      • *2: The door operation depends on models

      • *3: Models with front fog light

      • *4: Models with follow me home function
