The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY


    1. for Sport Package:

    2. except Sport Package:

  2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR


    1. B006FAD

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the clamp and remove the hood lock release lever protector.

  3. REMOVE ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. for LHD:


      1. B006D56C01
        B006AHR Bolt
        B006EC9 Connector

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Remove the 3 bolts and engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) from the vehicle.

      3. B006GDX

        Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control assembly from the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) and then remove the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).

        Note

        Do not bend the hood lock control cable assembly excessively.

    2. for RHD:


      1. B006FEMC01
        B006AHR Bolt
        B006EC9 Connector

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Remove the 3 bolts and engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) from the vehicle.

      3. B006GAO

        Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control assembly from the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) and then remove the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).

        Note

        Do not bend the hood lock control cable assembly excessively.
