DESCRIPTION

The circuit is used to send electric parking brake system information from the electric parking brake ECU to the ECM, and engine control information from the ECM to the electric parking brake ECU.

One of the following conditions is met:


  • The stored variant coding parameters are not valid for this software version.

  • The data provided by CAN concerning variant coding parameters are not defined in ROM.

  • The data provided by CAN concerning variant coding parameters are different from non-volatile memory.


  • ECM

  • Main body ECU (Instrument panel junction block assembly)

  • Electric parking brake ECU (Parking brake with bracket actuator assembly)

Note


  • Before performing work, turn the ignition switch off and wait approximately 20 seconds to make sure that the parking brake cannot operate.

  • When replacing the parking brake with bracket actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Click here.

    1. Check that the part number of the installed ECM is correct.

  5. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HANDLE POSITION VARIANT)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Select the Data List mode on the intelligent tester Click here.
