SOLAR SENSOR INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR

      Component with harness connected

      (automatic light control sensor)

      Disconnect the connector from the automatic light control sensor.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1(TSD) - 6(CLTE) Solar sensor covered with a cloth. Below 0.8V
      Solar sensor exposed to electric light. 4.0 to 4.6V

      Tech Tips

      Use an incandescent light for inspection. Bring it within about 30 cm (11.8 in.) of the automatic light control sensor.

      If the resistance is not as specified, replace the automatic light control sensor.
