  • Diagnosis Condition:

    Engine switch on (IG)

  • Malfunction Status:

    When the engine switch is turned on (IG) the first time after replacing the parking brake ECU assembly, the parking brake ECU assembly is unable to receive signals from the ECM

  • Malfunction Duration:

    Approximately 4 seconds

  • ECM

  • CAN communication system

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

 Yes An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

If the parking brake ECU assembly is replaced, perform the "Reset Memory" and "Acquire Tension Sensor Zero Point" procedures.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the GTS on.

    4. Check for DTC.

      Chassis > Electric Parking Brake > Trouble Codes
