CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P1585

DTC Code DTC Name
P1585 Acceleration Sensor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The ECM determines the vehicle inclination based on a signal from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly). If a malfunction in the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is determined based on a malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), the ECM stores this DTC.

Tech Tips

  • The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) signal is sent to the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) via CAN communication.

  • If CAN communication DTCs are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.

DTC Detection Condition 1:

  1. The engine switch is on (IG).

  2. The output value of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) remains at -1.5 G or less, or 1.5 G or more for at least 1.2 seconds.

  3. 0.5 seconds or more

  4. 1-trip detection logic

DTC Detection Condition 2:

  1. The engine switch is on (IG).

  2. The power source voltage to the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) remains at 4.4 V or less, or 5.6 V or higher for 1.2 seconds or more.

  3. 0.5 seconds or more

  4. 1-trip detection logic

DTC Detection Condition 3:

  1. The engine switch is on (IG).

  2. No signal from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is detected 7 times or more.

  3. 0.5 seconds or more

  4. 1-trip detection logic

DTC Detection Condition 4:

  1. The engine switch is on (IG).

  2. With the vehicle stopped, the difference between GL1 and GL2 does not become less than 0.4 G within 60 seconds after exceeding 0.6 G.

  3. 0.5 seconds or more

  4. 1-trip detection logic

DTC Detection Condition 5:

  1. The engine switch is on (IG).

  2. A yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) power source voltage malfunction signal is received for 10 seconds or more with the vehicle speed at 3 km/h (1.8 mph) or more.

  3. 0.5 seconds or more

  4. 1-trip detection logic
