OUTLINE
The following brake control functions are provided: Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist, Traction Control (TRC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill-start Assist Control, Brake Hold, VSC and Cooperative Control with EPS and Secondary Collision Brake*.
*: Models with secondary collision brake system
A VSC OFF switch is used.
MAIN FEATURES
VSC and Cooperative Control with EPS
VSC and Cooperative Control with EPS is a stability control system that integrates brake control (ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, TRC, VSC, Hill-start Assist Control, Brake Hold and Secondary Collision Brake*) and Electric Power Steering (EPS).
*: Models with secondary collision brake system
Using VSC and Cooperative Control with EPS, the brake control system and the EPS operate in a coordinated manner.
PRECAUTION
When a brake control system is activated, the brake pedal may shudder. This is a normal occurrence of the system in operation and should not be considered a malfunction.
The TRC and VSC functions control brake hydraulic pressure and engine output to ensure vehicle stability. Therefore, operate the VSC OFF switch (to stop the operation of the TRC and VSC functions) only when it is necessary.
