AIR COOLED OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER STAY

   Tech Tips

   Perform this procedure only when replacement of the transmission oil cooler stay is necessary.

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Bolt
      *b	Nut

      Install the transmission oil cooler stay to the vehicle body with the bolt and nut.

      Torque:

      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Tightening order: Temporarily tighten bolt → Fully tighten nut → Fully tighten bolt

2. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the oil cooler assembly to the transmission oil cooler stay with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

3. CONNECT NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *1	No. 1 Transmission Oil Cooler Hose Assembly
      *a	Clip Position (2 to 7 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.))
      *b	Hose Position (0 to 3 mm (0 to 0.118 in.))
      *c	Paint Mark
      *d	45°
      *e	Down
      	Paint Mark Location

      Connect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly to the oil cooler assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure it.

      Note

      
      

      • Make sure to install each clip within the area shown in the illustration.

      • Make sure that each paint mark is within the location shown in the illustration.

4. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT

      Guide

      Engage the guide to temporarily install the transmission oil cooler air duct to the oil cooler assembly.

   2. Install the transmission oil cooler air duct to the oil cooler assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:

      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

5. ADJUST AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

6. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

7. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER

   Click here

8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

   Click here

9. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER

   Click here

10. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
