INPUT SHAFT REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT FRONT BEARING

   1. 

      Up

      Using SST and a press, install a new input shaft front bearing to the input shaft.

      Note:

      Install the input shaft front bearing as shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT FRONT BEARING SNAP RING

   1. Hold the input shaft in a vise between aluminum plates.

      Note:

      Do not overtighten the vise.

   2. Using a snap ring expander, install a new input shaft front bearing snap ring to the input shaft.

3. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT REAR RADIAL BALL BEARING

   1. 

      Up

      Using SST and a press, install a new input shaft rear radial ball bearing to the input shaft.

      Install the input shaft rear radial ball bearing as shown in the illustration.
