HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)

      Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration to remove it.

      Note

      Do not touch the bulb glass.

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT SOCKET COVER (for Halogen Headlight)

      Remove the headlight socket cover.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)

      Turn the headlight back cover as shown in the illustration to separate it.

    2. A005BUS

      Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration to remove it with the headlight back cover.

      Note

      Do not touch the bulb glass.

    3. A005DEQ

      Disconnect the connector to remove the No. 1 headlight bulb from the headlight back cover.

      Note

      Do not touch the bulb glass.

  4. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)

      Turn the headlight cord with the clearance light bulb as shown in the illustration to disconnect them as a unit.

    2. Remove the clearance light bulb from the headlight cord.

  5. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

      Turn the headlight cord with the front turn signal light bulb as shown in the illustration to disconnect them as a unit.

    2. Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the headlight cord.

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CORD (for Halogen Headlight)

      Disengage each clamp and remove the headlight cord.

  7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CORD (for LED Headlight)

      Disconnect the connector to remove the headlight cord.

  8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR


    1. for LED Headlight:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      *a Aiming Screw

      Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips


      • Turn the aiming screw until the headlight leveling motor can be moved in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

      • Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.

    3. Turn the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the pin.

      Tech Tips

      When removing the headlight leveling motor of the headlight assembly RH, turn the headlight leveling motor in the opposite direction of the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

      *a Aiming Screw

      Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration to disengage the shaft.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.

    5. Pull out the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) shown in the illustration to remove it.

  9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING


    1. Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.

      Note

      After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

  10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION

      Remove the 3 screws and front bumper reinforcement extension.

  11. REMOVE COVER RING (for LED Headlight)


    1. A005DN1

      Turn the cover ring as shown in the illustration to remove it.
