POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM Front Passenger Side Power Window Auto Up / Down Function does not Operate with Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch

DESCRIPTION

• If the auto up/down function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following:

• The ECU in the door window regulator determines that the door window regulator has not been initialized.

• The power window regulator switch has a malfunction.

• The Hall IC in the door window regulator has a malfunction.

• There is an open or short in the wiring between the power window regulator switch and the passenger side door window regulator.

   1. Disconnect the E4*1 or E19*2 switch connector.

   2. Disconnect the E6*1 or E20*2 regulator connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E4-8 (AUTO) - E6-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω E4-8 (AUTO) or E6-4 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
