YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during yaw rate sensor assembly removal/installation are shown below.

Yaw rate sensor
  • Clear zero point calibration data and system information

  • Perform acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) and zero point calibration and store system information


  • DTCs are stored

  • ABS warning light illuminates

  • Brake system warning light (red indicator) illuminates

  • Slip indicator light illuminates

  • VSC disabled or malfunctions

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

      Remove the 2 nuts and pedestrian detection ECU assembly.

    2. B006E1Q

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 console box mounting bracket.

  3. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR


    1. B006FBXC01
      *a Identification Number

      Disconnect the connector from the yaw rate sensor.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and yaw rate sensor assembly.

      Note


      • Make sure the yaw rate sensor's identification number is Z.

      • Do not drop the yaw rate sensor. If it is dropped, do not use it.
