INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL ENGINE COVER JOINT

    1. Install the engine cover joint.

      8.0 N*m

      82 kgf*cm

      71 in.*lbf

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 GAS FILTER

    1. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, install the No. 1 gas filter to the intake manifold.

      17 N*m

      173 kgf*cm

      13 ft.*lbf

    2. Install the No. 1 air hose to the intake manifold and No. 1 gas filter.

  3. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

    1. with Stud Bolt:

      Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 2 stud bolts to the intake manifold.

      5.0 N*m

      44 in.*lbf

    2. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      15 N*m

      153 kgf*cm

      11 ft.*lbf

    3. Install a new gasket to the intake manifold.

    4. Temporarily install the intake manifold stay and intake manifold with the 5 bolts and 2 nuts.

    5. After temporarily installing the 5 bolts and 2 nuts, tighten them to the specified torque in several steps.

    6. Connect the PCV hose to the intake manifold, and slide the clamp to secure it.

    7. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose to the intake manifold.

    8. Attach the 4 clamps to the intake manifold.

    9. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

  4. INSTALL VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for ACIS)

    1. Install the vacuum switching valve assembly with the bolt.

      10 N*m

    2. Connect the No. 2 air hose and vacuum hose.

    3. Connect the vacuum switching valve assembly connector.

  5. INSTALL VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the No. 1 air hose to the vacuum sensor assembly.

    2. Install the vacuum sensor assembly with the engine cover joint.

      8.0 N*m

    3. Connect the vacuum sensor assembly connector.

  6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
