OUTLINE
Exhaust Emission Control System
Models compliant with EURO 2 emission regulations, a Three-Way Catalyst (TWC) is used to reduce emissions in the exhaust gas.
Except models compliant with EURO 2 emission regulations, 2 TWCs are used to reduce emissions in the exhaust gas.
Based on the signals from the air fuel ratio sensor and oxygen sensor, the ECM controls the fuel injection volume in order to optimize exhaust gas emissions.
An air injection system is used on specified models.
Evaporative Emission Control System
The ECM controls the purge flow of evaporative emissions (HC) in the charcoal canister in accordance with the engine conditions.
