FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL SEAT AIRBAG CASE

    1. Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat airbag case.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

      Engage the clamp (C).

    2. Install the front seat airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

      6.1 N*m

      62 kgf*cm

      54 in.*lbf

      CAUTION:

      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

    3. Pass the airbag wire harness through the part (B) and engage the clamp (A).

      Close the 2 fasteners.

      Wire Harness Clamp

      Install the green airbag connector as shown in the illustration.

    6. Engage the clamp and install a new wire harness clamp.

  3. CONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

    1. Engage the 2 hooks to connect the 2 rubber bands of the separate type front seatback cover.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  5. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
